Light and Shadow play equal and opposite roles in the dry desert of Southern Arizona. The tensions of light and dark mirror those of the U.S/Mexican border. The gash that scars this pristine land is strangely ugly and fascinating all at once.
These images were taken during a long weekend in Patagonia, Arizona. Patagonia ia as quirky and unique as the land it inhabits. Ever fascinating, it is an infinite palette for the photographer and painter alike.
The contrast of light and shadow plays with the photographer who shoots here in black & white. The attempt in this collection was to recreate the stark and haunting feeling one gets in this stunning place where two nations meet and mingle.
